We only collect information that you choose to give us. This currently happens in one way: if you get in touch through our contact form, by email, or by phone, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, and whatever details you share about your roofing enquiry. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to us by email using a form-handling service (FormSubmit), and we also keep a private copy of the message in the administration area of this website so that we can respond to you and see what kinds of work people ask about.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking tool on this website. We keep a simple, anonymous count of how many people visit each page of this website, a count of how many enquiries are sent through the contact form, and a count of taps on our Call and WhatsApp buttons, purely to understand general interest in the site — this does not record your device or any information that could identify you personally. To see roughly where our visitors are from (for example, which county or town), your internet address (IP address) is used for a momentary lookup and then discarded; only the approximate area is added to a count, and your IP address is never saved. This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from maxmind.com.
Any details you send us are used solely to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, and carry out any work you go on to book with us. We may also look at the type of work people ask about, without identifying individuals, to help improve the information on this website. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. If you speak to us by phone, we may type notes during the call and, if we tell you at the time, use speech-to-text on our phone to keep a written record of what was said. These notes are used only to deal with your enquiry.
We process your details on the basis of legitimate interest (responding to an enquiry you've raised with us) and, where a job proceeds, to take steps towards fulfilling a contract with you.
We keep enquiry details, including the private copy of your contact form message, only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and we delete them once they are no longer needed. If you become a customer, we may need to keep certain records for longer to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
